During this whimsical late afternoon affair, booths were filled with creative crafts and activities along with tasty treats. Guests could try their hand at candle dipping, creating a dragon puppet, learning Morse code on an 1800’s telegraph, having their fortune told, experiencing a vintage tintype photograph demonstration, planting spring flowers to take home and even digging for gemstone treasure! To end the night, guests gathered around our stage, set in the soft light and brilliant colors of an enchanted spring evening. They were delighted by fairy tales from local authors, charming original shadow puppetry, a pair of magicians from the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood and a Walt Disney Studios Technologist who presented a laterna magica or magic lantern show (think of it as the projector of the 19th century). We were treated to artist Buster Balloon, who has performed twice at the White House in Washintgon DC and has been dubbed "The Michelangelo of Balloons." We ended the evening by sharing with guests the secret to eternal youth…some very lucky guests even took home a prize that would unlock the mysterious power of make believe! This special event was hosted in partnership with the Muzeo Museum in Anaheim, California.

Early 1900’s magic lantern photo opportunity.  Later in the evening, guests were treated to an authentic magic lantern show!

We sold out the week before and had a wonderful crowd of over 150 guests!

Our shadow puppet theater.

A gemstone treasure dig where guests were able to keep all of the real gemstones they found (including some rare crystals).

Buster Balloon was a delightful performer! He even turned a balloon into a real goldfish in one incredible trick!

Guests really enjoyed the vintage ring toss game!

The stage was adorned with handmade giant flowers and mushrooms along with a bright and cheery maypole.

Guests loved taking a turn at our old-fashioned prize machine…everyone was a guaranteed winner!

There were a wide variety of costumed characters for guests to interact with.

Three fairies were on hand to tell an original fairy tale about the importance of make believe.

Over 50 hand painted umbrellas hung from the ceiling to set the room aglow in color.

A full-sized and miniature bicycle were hand-designed to match each other as a part of the décor.

At the end of the night, the large vintage bicycle was auctioned off to help raise funds for our capital campaign.

The entire event was livestreamed thanks to our charming host, Greg Nutt from The American Landscape. Enjoy!
